Known for its majestic finishes and proximity to greater Tallahassee, the Governor's Country Mansion is the most prestigious, invitation-only rental in Southern Georgia. The entrance alone boasts a master staircase imported from France.
With over 6,000 sq ft, a 3,200 sq ft event barn, and 10+ acres of landscaped grounds abundant with fruit trees, magnolias, and a pecan orchard, there is certainly something for everyone to explore at this stately, welcoming, warm weather retreat.
ROOM to GATHER
Your private rental includes the use of all 4 designer bedrooms (2 owner's suites and 2 junior suites), 6 bathrooms, a chef's kitchen, resort-style pool, and multiple common areas. With enough room to sleep 8-10, feel comfortable knowing you can invite a few extra friends to relax, refresh, and celebrate with you during your stay at the Governor's Country Mansion.

Upon Arrival
Kick off your shoes and recharge in the land of peaches, peanuts, and pecans. Your welcome basket includes refreshments, snacks, and a property map. If your stay is booked with advanced notice, it may also include a complimentary round of golf just steps from the front gallery.
Free Wifi
Wifi is available throughout the property to enhance your work and connectivity. If you are sensitive to EMF's or prefer to have a more natural escape, it would be our pleasure to keep it turned off.
The Property
There's plenty to do around the 10+ acre estate including lawn games, croquet, and exploring the beautiful grounds. Once inside, enjoy our 500 book library, a private study, board games, chess, records to play, and souvenirs to purchase in our micro country store.
Housekeeping & Safety
We excel in cleanliness, including attention to detail in both private and shared spaces throughout the property. While we go above and beyond between stays, there will be no housekeeping or direct service during your stay.
The Pool
Our heated, resort-style pool is open year round and is complete with swan floaties, plush towels, and lounge chairs. Bring your imagination poolside by enjoying a dance party on the deck or yoga at sunrise. Kindly note, there is no lifeguard on duty.

"The Barn"
"The Barn" is an event space located on the property only steps away from the pool. While it is most commonly used for musical events, it is also perfect for parties, weddings, and family gatherings, and has its own private sleeping quarters that will accommodate two guests.
